Amaryllis ‘Terra Cotta’

Amaryllis ‘Terra Cotta’ is supposed to grow 18 to 24 inches tall. My bulb must have a fear of heights!

The first scape reached 6 inches tall and decided that was plenty high enough. The 8-inch flowers are salmon pink with red veins and a lime-green star in the center.

Amaryllis ‘Terra Cotta’ is a Dutch amaryllis. My bulb sent up a second scape and so far it’s already one inch taller than the current blooming scape.

At least I didn’t have to worry about this cultivar tipping over in the pot!
