Like it’s sister plant (‘Zahara Double Salmon Rose), zinnia ‘Zahara Double Salmon’ flowers change color as they age.
They start out medium pink, but as the days pass they lighten to a beautiful shade of salmon with yellow highlights.
These zinnias grow 14 to 18 inches tall in sun or part sun, and while deadheading keeps them looking tidy, it’s not necessary to guarantee the plants will churn out flowers throughout summer until frost.
I start my zinnias indoors from seed about 6 weeks before our last average frost date (which is mid-May).
