Despite the fact that rodents eventually eat the bulbs and the plants disappear on me forever, I can’t stop growing lilies. Asiatic, LA, Oriental and Orienpets are my favorites, and Asiatics usually start the summer show in late June and early July.
This pretty little flower is ‘Rosella’s Dream’. I planted these bulbs last fall.
‘Rosella’s Dream’ grows 2 to 3 feet tall with pale pink petals that are brushed with rose-pink. In the center of the flowers are charming little maroon freckles!
This lily is hardy in Zones 3-8. Asiatic lilies prefer full sun, but will happily grow in lower light conditions—you just may need to stake them if they start leaning.
