I didn’t do as much leaf peeping this fall because the weather just didn’t cooperate. And with a hard freeze now behind us and the calendar turning over to November, it’s time to start thinking about winter.
Thankfully my friend and I were able to get out one Saturday a few weeks ago. It started out sunny which allowed us to snap a few photos of the Baraboo bluffs in some of their glory.
But then the sky clouded over a short time later, which muted the other vivid colors we found driving around central and southern Wisconsin that afternoon.
The icing on the cake was discovering a cozy independent bookstore in Spring Green.
I’m looking forward to going back again on a snowy day when I can watch the snowflakes waft down while I sip a warm cup of coffee and enjoy more books!
