Like other parts of the country, we’ve been having some freakishly-warm weather lately. Our high and low temperatures have been running about 20-25 degrees above average. I’m pretty confident that yesterday was the last of it. Tomorrow’s high temperature is supposed to be 52 degrees. That’s actually 10 degrees below normal. Finally some cool, crisp October weather. Time for soup and hot chocolate!
For the last couple of weeks it’s felt like August, but nature isn’t fooled. The leaves are turning colors and floating down from the trees, the first Juncos have arrived and the Woolly Bear Caterpillars are looking for a place to take shelter for the winter.
