I mixed things up in the front of my borders last year by adding some annual phlox like ’21st Century’. The experiment went well so this summer I’m trying out ‘Popstars’ as well.
This cultivar has little star-shaped flowers in a mix of colors. Some of my homegrown plants are just starting to open.
‘Popstars’ grows 8 to 10 inches tall and the plants have a mounded habit. The flowers bloom from June through about August if you keep them deadheaded.
