On Monday evening I was a snapping some photos of a cardinal on the feeder at sunset when I noticed something colorful in one of my flowerbeds.
Species tulip ‘Little Beauty’ gets the nod for the official first bloom in my yard in 2012. I looked at some of my other photos of ‘Little Beauty’ and the earliest that cultivar has ever bloomed for me is April 13th. In an normal year the flowers open during the last week in April or the first week of May.
I have a feeling that a lot of records are going to be broken this year.
