I’m craving some crisp, fall weather. Like many parts of the United States we’ve been baking for weeks now, and every time there’s a glimmer of hope that the heat could finally break, it cranks up again. The temperature in Madison has hit 90 degrees or higher 31 times since May 19th. Twelve of those days were above 95 degrees or into the triple digits. That may not sound all that hot to someone living in Phoenix, Arizona, but believe me, for southern Wisconsin, it’s INSANE.
I love to photograph my flowers in the summer, but this year has been a bust. It’s challenging to find anything to photograph when the flowers are literally melting off the plants:
