While the searing sun wreaked havoc on most of my flowers this summer, Daylily ‘Now and Zen’ shrugged. The bright-gold flowers with a maroon eye and edge never faded or shriveled in the intense heat, and the plant bloomed happily for several weeks.
It was ‘Now and Zen’s’ first year in my garden. The poor plant probably thinks it’s growing in the Arizona desert.
‘Now and Zen’ blooms in the middle of the daylily season. The plants grow 25 inches tall with 4-inch fragrant flowers.
