This daylily that I planted in 2023 is supposed to be ‘Secretary’s Sand’, but that cultivar is an “unusual-form crispate” (curly-leafed, spider-like) daylily that grows 42 inches tall.
What bloomed for me this summer grew 24 inches tall and has regular (not curly petals). Is it just acting weird, or did I get the wrong cultivar?
I don’t remember this daylily blooming last year, but it’s rather nondescript, so maybe I just didn’t pay any attention to it.
The daylily season is almost over now, so it’s nice to have a few cultivars that bloom late in the season like this one. I just have no idea what it is!
