If you want a conversation piece for the front of the flower border, try daylily ‘Peggy Jeffcoat’:
The plant grows a mere 18 inches tall, but the scapes are loaded with gorgeous, 7-inch double flowers. Every summer it amazes me that such a small plant can hold so many large blooms.
The registered description of the flowers is yellow, but I would describe them as creamy white with a yellow-green throat. Because of its neutral color, ‘Peggy Jeffcoat’ pairs well with just about any annual or perennial in the garden.
Not only is ‘Peggy Jeffcoat’ a looker, but the plant is also a treat for the senses. The flowers are deliciously fragrant.
‘Peggy Jeffcoat’ is a dormant daylily that blooms later in the daylily season.
