When I look out the window, I can’t see any of my raised beds. It’s almost April, but they are still buried under a blanket of snow. At least the sun is making some headway on melting the snow next to the house.
I went outside to fill the feeders the other day, and I noticed a patch of bare ground with tulips peeking out of it. I’ve never been so excited to see tulips in my entire life.
Unfortunately the critters had a similar thought. Oh they were thrilled to see the tulips too, but only because they wanted to gnaw on them.
I should be hoppin’ mad, but I’m just thankful that I didn’t have to spend the Longest-Winter-Ever scrounging for food outside.
