They drive me crazy most of the time, but I was actually giddy to see a chipmunk yesterday. All it takes is one snowflake in late fall and they instantly disappear. They aren’t fooled by warm spells in January or February (not that we had any of those this year!) and only venture out of their winter hiding places when they think the weather has improved for good.
Let’s hope this little beast knows something we don’t know.
