Orienpet lily ‘Porcelain Doll’ flowers are supposed to have a pink blush on their petals, but in their first year growing in my flowerbed the petals were a lovely light, honey-yellow.
‘Porcelain Doll’ grows 3 to 4 feet in sun or partial-shade. Like other Orienpets the plants are tough and each year they grow taller and taller with stronger flower stalks.
The huge flowers are lightly-scented and would look lovely anchoring the back of any cottage garden.
Time will tell if the flowers on my plant will change. Orienpet ‘Robina’ has given me a new thrill every year for the last several years, so I’m not worried. And even if ‘Porcelain Doll kept those honey-yellow flowers I would still recommend this sturdy, lovely lily.
‘Porcelain Doll’ is hardy in Zones 5-9.
