I’ve grown daylily ‘Zella Virginia’ for over 10 years now, but for the first time ever, it rebloomed for me this summer.
One scape popped up in late June, and flowers opened which was unusual because ‘Zella Virginia’ is usually one of my last daylilies to bloom during the growing season.
I didn’t know if it would be done for the season or not, but sure enough a couple of weeks ago—during its normal blooming time—more scapes appeared and the melon-colored flowers popped open right on schedule.
‘Zella Virginia’ grows 24 inches tall, and the fetching 6-inch double flowers are fragrant.
