The leucistic goldfinch is still hanging around my backyard, and now he is holding his own when the other goldfinches bully him.
Slowly but surely all of the American Goldfinches are growing in their bright spring feathers. Even on this leucistic bird you can see the yellow starting to show on his head.
I hope he sticks around because I’m very interested to see what his spring plumage will look like. Will he have any patches of pure yellow?
