Squirrels aren’t the only animals taking over our yard right now. I don’t remember the last time I saw so many HUGE rabbits! My poor annuals and perennials won’t stand a chance.
In addition to being large, these rabbits are bold. They have no urge to flee when I go into the backyard to fill birdfeeders or check on emerging plants. They just look at me as if to say, “Oh, you again.”
I have counted as many as 5 large rabbits in our backyard at one time. Unless they are all boys or all girls, there are going to be a lot of baby rabbits running around soon!
As I was looking through some photos I took the other day, I did a double-take with this one.
It’s a tad blurry, but look where that rabbit’s front and back feet are! Can you turn your body 180 degrees while still keeping your feet planted on the ground?
