At the same time that I bought the poinsettia that is now cursed by my brown thumb, I picked up a cyclamen with gorgeous dark-red, Christmasy flowers.
These plants are tricky to get to rebloom, so I can just enjoy the flowers and not worry about the plant croaking since I’m going to put it on the compost heap when it’s done blooming anyway.
While my poinsettia doesn’t appreciate drafts or the cool overnight temperatures near my bay window, the cyclamen seems quite happy so far.
