I need something to whisk me away from all this dreary, wet weather we’ve been enduring lately. How about a bright, cheery daylily?
‘Forty Carats’ has gorgeous, golden-yellow flowers with a green throat. The brilliant color and huge, 6-inch blooms will lure you from across the yard.
This 1988 introduction grows 30 inches tall and makes a great back-of-border anchor. The sunny flowers blend nicely with warm colors like bright reds and oranges, or with softer pastel colors. The flowers really stand out next to dark purples or reds.
‘Forty Carats’ is a long-bloomer and appears in the middle of the daylily season.
