Daylily ‘Crimson Shadows’ sports intense blackish-red, velvety blooms that have almost a purple glow to them. This beautiful cultivar grows only 25 inches tall, but the 5-inch flowers display an amazing punch of color.
The blooms stand in stark contrast to the plant’s dark-green foliage. This daylily looks lovely planted next to gold or yellow flowers which brings out its little yellow-green throat.
‘Crimson Shadows’ is a dormant daylily that brings up the rear during the daylily season. It usually blooms in late July and early August.
