‘Forsyth Flying Dragon’ caught my eye not because of its color, but because of the size of this cultivar’s flowers. They are 8.5 inches in diameter!
The flowers are a pinkish-red with a white line down the center of the petals that leads to a very large lime-green throat. The plants grow 28 inches tall, so you can use it for a middle or back-of-the-border plant.
That lime-green throat complements yellow or gold flowers nicely and because of the white line on the petals, the flowers also look good planted next to white-flowering annuals or perennials.
‘Forsyth Flying Dragon’ is a dormant daylily that starts blooming in the middle of the daylily season.
