Daylily ‘Fellow’

‘Fellow’ is classified as an “unusual form crispate” daylily because the petals and sepals twist and curl:

This cultivar is 40 years old (1975) and has very fragrant purple flowers with a yellow-green throat. I love its grape color because it stands out nicely in contrast to the plant’s dark-green foliage.

‘Fellow’ grows only 24 inches tall but the flowers are very large—7 inches. ‘Fellow’ blooms early in the daylily season and looks especially lovely growing with pink, white or gold flowers.
