Last Friday the high temperature was 26 (F) degrees, and there was no snow to be found. Saturday morning I woke up to snowdrifts swirled around our front door and 6 inches of fresh snow to shovel.
It was almost shocking to see how much snow fell in just a little over 12 hours. Even up to mid-afternoon on Friday, shoppers in our city parked their vehicles on bare pavement, but on Saturday morning they had to maneuver around giant snow piles.
Early Sunday morning the thermometer read -2(F), and I see our high temperature for this Friday is supposed to top out at a whopping one degree! Of course first we have to get through the next snowstorm. Tomorrow’s is supposed to be even bigger than last week’s.
Winter is finally here!
