I freaked myself out last week when I was watering my cyclamen plant. When I first got it last month, it looked like this:
But now the flowers are a much different color:
My first thought was, have I gone colorblind? Is this a new COVID symptom? I went to my pen collection to make sure I could still see burgundy and fuchsia. Yup! Whew!
Fading is natural for cyclamen flowers. It just means the plants are about to go dormant (translation for me: into the compost bin as cyclamens are a bit challenging to get to rebloom and I already have a brown thumb).
