Until the pandemic, when I was craving the simplest of pick-me-ups, I thought it was silly to buy fall flowers. Some years we can have a killing frost as early as September, so they may only last a few days or a few weeks.
But once again this year I couldn’t resist yanking out some of my tired annuals and replacing them with mums and asters.
