I had forgotten how bright and flashy daylily ‘Flying Dragon’ is until I spotted it blooming in the back row of a rather out-of-control flowerbed recently. This “unusual-form cascade” cultivar has red-orange flowers with a dark-yellow throat.
The flowers are huge—almost 8 inches. This dormant tetraploid daylily sends up scapes that reach 36 inches.
