On an afternoon walk on Wednesday I noticed how ridiculously green our lawn is for February.
I checked the backyard to see if anything new was coming up in the flowerbeds, and that’s when I noticed a honeybee in the snowdrops. That’s the earliest in the year I’ve ever seen a honeybee pollinating a flower in our yard.
But winter isn’t over just yet. That same bunch of snowdrops that looked like this on Wednesday afternoon:
Looked like this 14 hours later:
Hopefully the honeybee was already tucked back safely in its hive by then!
