Daylily ‘Chicagoland Millenium’

Daylily ‘Chicagoland Millenium’ (I didn’t spell it wrong—it’s registered that way) was a pleasant surprise in my garden. I needed something that would blend well with bold colors and still stand out on its own. This daylily fit the bill perfectly.

The official description of ‘Chicagoland Millenium’ flowers is “pink self above a green throat.” That doesn’t do them any justice at all. There are hints of pink in the petals, but I would describe the flowers as creamy, coral-yellow.

The petals are ruffled and dazzle with diamond dusting on sunny days:

‘Chicagoland Millenium’ grows 24 inches tall with 5-inch flowers. It’s a great plant for the middle of the flowerbed.
