My seed-starting routine is in full swing. This year I invested in a couple of heating mats. I can set up to 4 flats at a time on them. The flats get all nice and toasty and steamy inside and the seeds just spring to life.
Some of the seeds from the flowers I grow used to take up to 10 days to sprout. Now most of them are popping open within 48 hours. And the overall germination rates have soared. I’m amazed.
I wish I’d tried heating mats years ago!
