Normally I would be a little grouchy about enduring 5 rainy days in a row, but I’m still a little traumatized from last year’s drought. We haven’t seen an all-day rain for almost a year, so it’s quite a blessing to experience several of them in a row.
I’ve already dumped out more than 3 inches of rain from our rain gauge. I hope the ground is thawed enough that the shrubs, trees, lawn and flowers can soak up all of this much-needed moisture.
Very early yesterday morning it poured for a few minutes with some rumbles of thunder. Shortly after that the temperature dropped below freezing. The water droplets froze in place on all the shrubs and trees:
