I was hoping my African violets might bloom over the winter or in early spring and cheer me up, but they were apparently as disgusted with the weather as I was. They only started blooming recently.
I bought all of them at a home improvement store and they didn’t come with any tags, so I don’t know the cultivars.
This one has a playful purple eye that fades out into the petals:
I like my pinks dark and rich and this African violet nailed it:
And I wish I could fill my flowerbeds with annuals and perennials that bloomed in such a gorgeous shade of purple:
