I took time out of my frantic schedule to visit the UW-Madison Arboretum the other day. I was afraid the coming rain and winds would knock all the blossoms from the trees before I got a chance to enjoy the scenery.
There’s isn’t a more beautiful place on earth this time of year in my opinion. The dreamy fragrances were lost on me because my head is all stuffed up, but it was still a feast for the eyes.
A chatty Gray Catbird followed me around for my entire visit.
I also saw scores of Cedar Waxwings and a beautiful Eastern Bluebird.
I wish the blossoms weren’t so fleeting…
…but if they weren’t, we wouldn’t appreciate them so much.
