From last night through late tonight the temperature will swing a whopping 40 degrees (we’re at the halfway point right now). The strong front that came through last night is causing very gusty winds today. Hurray! The clouds of mosquitoes can’t fly!
This morning I quickly grabbed my grass seed, soil and straw and patched up that ugly brown spot. We’ll see how long it lasts. Just a few feet away a skunk or raccoon looking for grubs dug a 6-inch deep hole in the lawn overnight. The weird thing is, the soil the critter dug up is missing!
I’m sure in no time they’ll find this new soft spot in the lawn and tear it apart looking for more grubs, but for now I’ll enjoy my patch job.
