It took me 3 days to figure out how one of the backyard squirrels was able to leap onto one of my platform feeders. I could see him out there scheming many times, but I never caught the moment when he made his moves.
Squirrels try to look innocent, but they’re not fooling anyone. The are experts in figuring out how to get to your bird feeder.
Last weekend I finally witnessed the landing, and all it took (for now) was some rearranging of the squirrel baffles.
We’ll see if that does the trick. Until then Mr. Squirrel will have to be content with the leftovers the birds toss to the ground.
