I’ve sown tens of thousands of flower seeds over the years, but every time I push a seed into the soil, I’m awestruck that something so small and bland can pack so much potential.
I’ve planted all kinds of seeds. Some are so tiny that that an errant exhale sends them flying:
Others resemble pesky slivers:
Hollyhock seeds look like miniature prehistoric fossils…
…but if I nestle them into some soil in my basement in March, they’ll become 10-foot blooming giants in my garden by July.
If that’s not a miracle, I don’t know what is.
