I can’t complain about the amount of snow we’ve received this winter. There have been several moderate storms but no whoppers (sorry, New York City, it was someone else’s turn).
But I would like grumble a little bit about the “nuisance snow” that has plagued us lately. It seems like just about every other day an inch or less of snow has fallen. Dragging out the snow blower to remove it is overkill, but shoveling it is a rather messy affair because it’s so light and fluffy it just ripples through the air like confetti when you toss it. It’s surprising, however, how such a small amount of snow can make the sidewalks and streets slick and throw a wrench into the rush hour drive.
