I have my favorite flower colors, but every now and then I also get temporarily obsessed with one particular color or another. I can tell it’s happening when more of that color starts showing up in all my flower photographs. Right now I’m into creamy yellows.
One of my favorite zinnias this year is part of a Preciosa Mix which includes a buttery yellow:
As opposed to the bright golden-yellow you usually get with most zinnia cultivars:
Daylily ‘Skyland Charmer’ has also charmed me with its creamy-yellow flowers that appear on 27-inch scapes.
The flowers are almost 7 inches across and have a gold edge and a green throat.
I like the frilly edges on this daylily’s petals:
